Editor, Standards & Practices

We’re looking for an experienced Editor, Standards & Practices to join the CNN team and help ensure our content is held to the highest ethical standards. This is an essential and highly visible role that requires a thought leader in the media industry. The ideal candidate will be a creative problem solver, with an in-depth understanding of journalistic ethics and the ability to think critically and stay current with industry trends. This person should be passionate about their work and have a keen eye for detail.The Editor, Standards & Practices will be responsible for upholding the highest standards of accuracy and ethics, while also proactively analyzing and identifying potential risks and issues. This role requires an individual with excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate and build relationships with staff and partners across the company.Qualified applicants must have a minimum of 5 years’ experience in a similar role, preferably within a media or news organization, and must possess a deep understanding of journalistic ethics and the current media landscape. Previous experience in content management, risk assessment and/or production is a plus. A successful candidate must also have a Bachelor’s degree in Journalism, Communications or a related field, as well as a commitment to professional growth and staying up-to-date with industry trends.
