Senior Materials Analyst

Our Senior Materials Analyst must possess a strong technical background, superior problem solving skills, and the ability to effectively collaborate with other departments and stakeholders.The ideal candidate should have a minimum of 5 years of experience in an inventory management, materials planning, or related role. In addition, they should have a Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Operations Management, or a related field. Our Senior Materials Analyst should also have extensive knowledge of the principles and practices of inventory management, materials planning, and related processes. They must have a strong understanding of the mechanics of inventory optimization, the ability to develop and maintain inventory policies, and the ability to analyze business processes and identify opportunities for improvement. Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills are essential.

Responsibilities:

1. Develop and maintain inventory policies and procedures
2. Analyze inventory management and materials planning processes and identify opportunities for improvement
3. Monitor inventory levels and create reports to inform stakeholders of progress
4. Collaborate with other departments and stakeholders to ensure optimal inventory management and materials planning
5. Develop and implement inventory optimization strategies
6. Track and monitor inventory levels and adjust as needed
7. Create forecasts and projections to manage inventory levels
8. Analyze data to determine trends in demand and supply
9. Develop and manage budgeting and cost control measures for inventory management and materials planning
10. Monitor performance of inventory management and materials planning processes to ensure goals are met.
