  1. Conduct thorough investigations into reports of harmful content and malicious activity on the Cloudflare platform.
  2. Use analytical skills to identify patterns and trends in reported content and activity.
  3. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including legal, security, and product, to address and resolve critical escalations.
  4. Monitor and review user activity and content to proactively identify potential risks or violations of trust and safety policies.
  5. Communicate effectively with internal teams and external parties, such as law enforcement, to gather information and update on investigation progress.
  6. Utilize industry tools and resources to aid in investigations and stay current on emerging threats and trends in online safety.
  7. Maintain accurate and detailed records of investigations and outcomes.
  8. Identify gaps and make recommendations for improvements to trust and safety policies and procedures.
  9. Educate and train other team members on best practices for identifying and addressing potential trust and safety issues.
  10. Uphold company values and standards of trust and safety in all interactions and decisions.

Job Qualifications
  • In-Depth Knowledge Of Internet Security And Threat Detection: A Trust & Safety Investigator, Critical Escalations Must Possess A Deep Understanding Of Internet Security Protocols, Online Fraud Trends, And Malicious Online Activities In Order To Effectively Identify And Investigate Critical Escalations.

  • Proven Experience In Digital Forensics And Investigation Techniques: This Role Requires Experience In Conducting Digital Investigations, Including Evidence Collection, Data Analysis, And Chain Of Custody Procedures.

  • Strong Analytical And Problem-Solving Skills: A Trust & Safety Investigator, Critical Escalations Must Possess Strong Critical Thinking Skills And Be Able To Analyze Complex Data Sets To Identify Patterns And Trends In Online Abuse And Fraud.

  • Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills: As A Key Point Of Contact For Critical Escalations, This Role Requires Exceptional Communication Skills To Effectively Liaise With Other Teams, External Stakeholders, And Law Enforcement Agencies.

  • Familiarity With Relevant Laws And Regulations: A Trust & Safety Investigator, Critical Escalations Must Have Knowledge Of Relevant Laws And Regulations Related To Online Abuse, Fraud, And Data Privacy To Ensure Investigations Are Conducted In Compliance With Legal Requirements.
