Job Description

Cloudflare's R2 Storage is distributed object storage accessible through Cloudflare's infrastructure allowing customers–both internal and external–the convenience of accessing their data from anywhere with the reliability and performance of Cloudflare infrastructure. In this role, you'll work with a top-notch engineering team to drive R2 Storage forward by ensuring continual reliability, maintaining best-in-class performance, and implementing new features and functionality. You will own your code from inception to release, delivering solutions at all layers of the software stack to empower Cloudflare customers. On any given day, you might write a design document that outlines how you plan to solve a specific problem, modify how R2 Storage processes requests, or fix a bug in how our user experience renders.

Job Qualifications

  • 4+ years of experience working with distributed systems or developing on cloud platforms

  • Solid understanding of computer science fundamentals including data structures, algorithms, and object-oriented or functional design.

  • Experience building and managing high volume software applications.

  • Experience working in a non-garbage collected language such as Rust or C++ a plus
