- Conduct research and analysis on potential security threats and vulnerabilities within Cloudflare's applications.
- Develop and implement strategies to proactively identify and mitigate security risks.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the implementation of secure coding practices.
- Conduct regular security audits and assessments to identify and address potential weaknesses in the system.
- Stay up-to-date on the latest security trends and best practices in order to continuously improve the security posture of Cloudflare's applications.
- Communicate potential security risks and their impact to relevant stakeholders, including management and customers.
- Create and maintain accurate documentation of security processes, procedures, and findings.
- Perform security testing and vulnerability scanning to identify and remediate any security gaps.
- Develop and maintain incident response plans in the event of a security breach.
- Collaborate with the development team to ensure proper security measures are built into new applications and features.
- Participate in security incident response and provide timely and effective resolution.
- Train and educate other team members on proper security protocols and procedures.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations related to application security.
- Continuously monitor and assess the effectiveness of security controls and make recommendations for improvement.

In-Depth Knowledge Of Web Application Security: A Security Researcher & Analyst At Cloudflare Should Possess A Deep Understanding Of Web Application Security, Including Common Vulnerabilities, Attack Vectors, And Mitigation Techniques.
Experience In Vulnerability Assessment And Penetration Testing: The Ideal Candidate Should Have Hands-On Experience In Conducting Vulnerability Assessments And Penetration Testing On Web Applications To Identify And Exploit Security Flaws.
Strong Programming Skills: To Effectively Analyze And Research Security Vulnerabilities In Web Applications, The Candidate Should Have A Strong Background In Programming Languages Such As Python, Ruby, Java, Or C++.
