- Conduct Red Team operations to identify potential vulnerabilities and threats to Cloudflare's systems and services.
- Develop and execute simulated cyber attacks against our networks, applications, and infrastructure.
- Collaborate with the Blue Team to continuously improve our defensive capabilities.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest security trends, techniques, and tools to enhance our Red Team operations.
- Analyze and report on the results of Red Team operations, providing recommendations for improving our security posture.
- Work closely with other teams within Cloudflare to ensure security measures are implemented and maintained.
- Participate in security incident response activities and contribute to incident reports.
- Develop and maintain Red Team methodologies, procedures, and documentation.
- Mentor and train team members on Red Team techniques and best practices.
- Continuously evaluate and improve our Red Team operations to ensure effectiveness and efficiency.
- Participate in industry events and conferences to stay current with the latest cybersecurity developments.
- Collaborate with third-party security researchers and vendors to identify and address vulnerabilities.
- Maintain a high level of confidentiality and integrity in handling sensitive information.
- Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and guidelines related to information security.
- Act as a subject matter expert in Red Team operations and provide guidance to other teams within the company.
In-Depth Knowledge And Experience In Penetration Testing: A Red Team Operator At Cloudflare Should Have A Strong Understanding Of Various Penetration Testing Techniques And Tools. They Should Also Have Hands-On Experience In Conducting Successful Red Team Assessments Against Complex Infrastructures.
Proficiency In Offensive Security Tools: The Ideal Candidate Should Be Proficient In Using A Wide Range Of Offensive Security Tools, Such As Metasploit, Burp Suite, Nmap, And Others. They Should Also Have Experience In Developing Custom Scripts And Exploits To Support Their Red Team Operations.
Strong Understanding Of Cloud Security: As A Leader In Cloud Security, Cloudflare Requires Their Red Team Operators To Have A Strong Understanding Of Cloud Security Principles, Including Secure Cloud Architecture, Cloud-Based Security Controls, And Cloud-Specific Attack Vectors.
Excellent Communication And Collaboration Skills: A Red Team Operator Must Be Able To Effectively Communicate Their Findings And Recommendations To Both Technical And Non-Technical Stakeholders. They Should Also Be Able To Work Collaboratively With Other Team Members And External Partners To Achieve Common Goals.
Relevant Certifications: Cloudflare Prefers Candidates Who Hold Relevant Certifications, Such As Oscp, Osce, Or Crest Crt (Or Equivalent). These Certifications Demonstrate A Solid Understanding Of Offensive Security Techniques And Are Highly Valued In The Industry.
