Surgical Services Support Technician

We are looking for an experienced Surgical Services Support Technician to join the team at Cleveland Clinic. The Surgical Services Support Technician will be responsible for providing direct support to surgeons, other medical personnel, and patients during surgical procedures.The successful candidate must possess a minimum of an Associate’s Degree in a related field, have at least one year of experience in a surgical services setting, and be certified in Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS). Responsibilities:

1. Assist in the preparation of patients and operating rooms prior to surgery.
2. Provide assistance to surgeons and other medical personnel during surgical procedures.
3. Monitor and maintain accurate records of patient medical history, vital signs, and other data.
4. Maintain a clean and safe operating environment.
5. Utilize appropriate sterilization techniques when handling medical equipment.
6. Ensure that all necessary medical equipment and supplies are available and in working order.
7. Assist in post-operative patient care and recovery.
8. Monitor patient condition during surgery and report any changes to the surgical team.
9. Maintain a professional and courteous disposition with all patients and medical personnel.
10. Adhere to all safety and HIPAA regulations.
