  1. Provide exceptional medical care to patients and families in need of palliative care services.
  2. Conduct thorough patient evaluations to determine the appropriate treatment plan.
  3. Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to develop and implement comprehensive care plans.
  4. Monitor and evaluate patient progress, adjusting treatment plans as necessary.
  5. Communicate effectively with patients and their families to address any concerns or questions.
  6. Document patient care accurately and in a timely manner.
  7. Stay up-to-date on current trends and developments in the field of palliative care.
  8. Attend and participate in team meetings, conferences, and educational opportunities.
  9. Serve as a mentor and resource for other healthcare professionals on the team.
  10. Adhere to all hospital policies and procedures, as well as ethical and legal standards.
  11. Maintain a compassionate and patient-centered approach to care.

Job Qualifications
  • Medical Degree: A Staff Physician In Palliative Care At Cleveland Clinic Must Possess A Doctor Of Medicine (Md) Or Doctor Of Osteopathic Medicine (Do) Degree From An Accredited Medical School.

  • Board Certification: Candidates Must Be Board Certified In Hospice And Palliative Medicine By The American Board Of Medical Specialties (Abms) Or The American Osteopathic Association (Aoa).

  • Experience In Palliative Care: The Ideal Candidate Should Have At Least 3-5 Years Of Experience In Providing Palliative Care To Patients, Preferably In An Academic Or Hospital Setting.

  • Strong Communication Skills: Palliative Care Requires Effective Communication With Patients, Families, And Interdisciplinary Teams. Therefore, Candidates Must Possess Excellent Verbal And Written Communication Skills.

  • Commitment To Quality Care: Cleveland Clinic Is Committed To Providing High-Quality, Patient-Centered Care. Candidates For This Position Must Share This Commitment And Demonstrate A Track Record Of Providing Compassionate And Comprehensive Care To Patients With Life-Limiting Illnesses.
