- Conduct thorough evaluations and assessments of patients with sleep disorders to accurately diagnose and develop treatment plans.
- Utilize extensive knowledge of neurology and sleep medicine to provide the highest level of care to patients.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to develop comprehensive treatment plans that address the unique needs of each patient.
- Stay current with advancements in sleep medicine and integrate new techniques and technologies into practice.
- Educate patients and their families about sleep disorders, treatment options, and lifestyle modifications to improve overall health and well-being.
- Monitor and track patient progress, adjusting treatment plans as needed to ensure optimal outcomes.
- Communicate with referring physicians and healthcare providers to ensure coordinated and comprehensive care for patients.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records and documentation of all treatments, procedures, and consultations.
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and contribute expertise to enhance patient care and outcomes.
- Adhere to all clinical and ethical standards, guidelines, and protocols established by Cleveland Clinic and the American Academy of Sleep Medicine.
- Serve as a patient advocate, providing compassionate and attentive care to all patients.

Board Certification In Neurology: A Qualified Candidate For The Sleep Neurologist Job At Cleveland Clinic Must Possess Board Certification In Neurology From The American Board Of Psychiatry And Neurology Or The American Osteopathic Board Of Neurology And Psychiatry.
Specialization In Sleep Medicine: The Ideal Candidate Should Have Completed A Fellowship In Sleep Medicine And Be Board Certified In The Same By The American Board Of Sleep Medicine.
Clinical Experience: A Minimum Of 3-5 Years Of Clinical Experience In Diagnosing And Treating Sleep Disorders Is Necessary For This Role. This Should Include Experience In Performing Sleep Studies, Interpreting Results, And Prescribing Treatment Plans For Patients.
Strong Research Background: Candidates Should Have A Demonstrated Track Record Of Conducting Sleep-Related Research And A Publication Record In Peer-Reviewed Journals. This Is Especially Important Given The Research-Focused Nature Of Cleveland Clinic.
Interpersonal And Communication Skills: The Candidate Must Possess Excellent Interpersonal And Communication Skills As They Will Be Working Closely With Patients, Families, And A Multidisciplinary Team Of Healthcare Professionals. Additionally, They Should Be Able To Effectively Communicate Complex Medical Information To Patients And Their Families.
