- Manage Simulation Operations: The Simulation Operations Specialist will be responsible for managing all aspects of simulation operations, including scheduling, set-up, and maintenance of simulation equipment and resources.
- Coordinate with Healthcare Professionals: The Specialist will collaborate with healthcare professionals to understand their simulation needs and ensure the delivery of high-quality simulations that meet their learning objectives.
- Conduct Technical Set-Up: The Specialist will be responsible for the technical set-up of simulations, including audio-visual equipment, medical equipment, and moulage, to create a realistic learning experience.
- Ensure Quality Control: The Specialist will conduct regular quality control checks on simulation equipment and resources to ensure they are in good working condition and meet industry standards.
- Troubleshoot Technical Issues: In the event of technical issues during simulations, the Specialist will troubleshoot and resolve them quickly to minimize disruptions and ensure a smooth learning experience.
- Train and Support Staff: The Specialist will train and support staff, including simulation facilitators, on the use of simulation equipment and resources to ensure consistency and standardization in simulation delivery.
- Maintain Inventory and Supplies: The Specialist will be responsible for maintaining an inventory of simulation equipment and supplies, ensuring they are well-stocked and organized for efficient use.
- Stay Up-to-Date with Industry Trends: The Specialist will stay informed about industry trends and new technologies in simulation operations, and make recommendations for their implementation to enhance the learning experience.
- Adhere to Safety Protocols: The Specialist will ensure that all safety protocols and procedures are followed during simulations to maintain a safe learning environment for healthcare professionals.
- Collaborate with Other Departments: The Specialist will collaborate with other departments, such as IT and Facilities, to ensure the smooth operation of simulations and resolve any issues that may arise.
- Maintain Documentation: The Specialist will maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of simulation activities, including schedules, equipment usage, and maintenance logs.
- Uphold Cleveland Clinic Standards: The Specialist will uphold the
Bachelor's Or Master's Degree In Healthcare Administration, Nursing, Or A Related Field.
Minimum Of 3-5 Years Of Experience In Healthcare Operations, Preferably In A Simulation Center Or Healthcare Facility.
Experience With Simulation Technology And Software, Including But Not Limited To Simman, Simbaby, And Gaumard.
Knowledge Of Best Practices And Standards In Simulation Education, Including Inacsl And Ssh Guidelines.
Strong Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Effectively Collaborate With A Multidisciplinary Team And Train Healthcare Professionals.
