  1. Provide exceptional and compassionate care to critically ill patients in the Medical Intensive Care Unit (MICU).
  2. Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals to ensure the best possible outcomes for patients.
  3. Utilize strong clinical skills to assess, diagnose, and implement appropriate interventions for patients.
  4. Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians and monitor patient response.
  5. Document all patient care accurately and promptly in accordance with hospital policies and procedures.
  6. Maintain a safe and clean environment for patients and adhere to infection control protocols.
  7. Act as a patient advocate and ensure that all patient rights and needs are met.
  8. Participate in ongoing education and training opportunities to continuously improve skills and knowledge.
  9. Demonstrate a strong work ethic and commitment to providing the highest quality of care.
  10. Effectively communicate and collaborate with patients, families, and other healthcare team members.
  11. Adhere to all hospital policies, procedures, and regulations to ensure compliance with standards of care.
  12. Serve as a role model for other nurses and assist in the training and orientation of new staff members.
  13. Remain current with advancements and changes in the field of nursing and incorporate evidence-based practices into patient care.
  14. Continuously monitor and evaluate patient outcomes and make necessary adjustments to care plans.
  15. Maintain confidentiality and professionalism in all interactions with patients, families, and colleagues.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Nursing: A Rn Resident In The Medical Icu At Cleveland Clinic Is Required To Have A Bachelor's Degree In Nursing From An Accredited Institution. This Degree Provides The Necessary Theoretical Foundation And Clinical Skills Required For The Role.

  • Current Rn License: A Valid And Current Registered Nurse (Rn) License In The State Of Ohio Is A Mandatory Requirement For The Micu Job At Cleveland Clinic. This License Ensures That The Rn Has Met The Minimum Education And Competency Standards To Practice Nursing In The State.

  • Critical Care Experience: The Ideal Candidate For A Rn Resident In The Medical Icu At Cleveland Clinic Should Have Previous Experience Working In A Critical Care Setting. This Experience Will Help The Rn To Quickly Adapt To The Fast-Paced And High-Stress Environment Of The Micu.

  • Bls And Acls Certification: Basic Life Support (Bls) And Advanced Cardiac Life Support (Acls) Certifications Are Required For A Rn Resident In The Medical Icu At Cleveland Clinic. These Certifications Demonstrate The Rn's Ability To Respond To Medical Emergencies And Provide Life-Saving Interventions.

  • Excellent Communication And Teamwork Skills: Working In The Micu At Cleveland Clinic Requires Effective Communication And Collaboration With A Multidisciplinary Team. A Rn Resident Should Possess Strong Communication Skills, Be Able To Work Well In A Team, And Demonstrate Professionalism And Empathy Towards Patients And Their Families.
