Responsibilities:

  1. Provide high-quality, compassionate care to new mothers and their babies in the comfort of their own homes.
  2. Conduct thorough assessments of patients' health and develop individualized care plans.
  3. Administer medication and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
  4. Monitor patients' progress and make necessary adjustments to care plans.
  5. Educate patients and their families on postpartum care, newborn care, and breastfeeding techniques.
  6. Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to ensure comprehensive and coordinated care.
  7. Keep accurate and detailed records of patients' medical histories and progress.
  8. Maintain a safe and clean environment for patients and their families.
  9. Advocate for patients' needs and ensure their rights are respected.
  10. Continuously evaluate and improve the quality of care provided.
  11. Stay up-to-date with current evidence-based practices in maternal and child health.
  12. Participate in training and development programs to enhance knowledge and skills.
  13. Follow all hospital policies and procedures, as well as state and federal regulations.
  14. Communicate effectively with patients, families, and colleagues to promote a positive and collaborative work environment.
  15. Maintain confidentiality of patient information.
  16. Adhere to ethical and professional standards of nursing practice.
  17. Serve as a resource and mentor for less experienced nurses.
  18. Attend meetings and conferences related to maternal and child health.
  19. Respond to emergencies and provide prompt and efficient care.
  20. Maintain a positive and compassionate attitude towards patients and their families.

Job Qualifications
  • Current And Valid Registered Nurse (Rn) License In The State Of Ohio.

  • Bachelor's Degree In Nursing From An Accredited Institution.

  • Minimum Of 2 Years Of Clinical Experience In Obstetrics And Maternal Child Health.

  • Certification In Maternal Newborn Nursing (Rnc-Mnn) Preferred.

  • Strong Communication And Time-Management Skills, With The Ability To Work Independently And Collaboratively In A Fast-Paced Homecare Setting.
