  1. Conduct and coordinate research studies related to respiratory health, in accordance with established protocols and ethical standards.
  2. Recruit and screen patients for participation in research studies, ensuring eligibility criteria are met.
  3. Obtain informed consent from study participants and maintain accurate and detailed records of consent.
  4. Administer study interventions and collect data, adhering to study protocols and procedures.
  5. Monitor and assess study participants for adverse events and report any issues to the appropriate parties.
  6. Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members, including physicians, researchers, and other healthcare professionals, to ensure smooth and efficient study implementation.
  7. Communicate regularly with study sponsors and regulatory agencies regarding study progress and compliance.
  8. Develop and maintain relationships with study participants, providing support and addressing any concerns or questions.
  9. Analyze and interpret study data, and contribute to the preparation of study reports and publications.
  10. Stay up-to-date on current research developments and attend relevant conferences and training to enhance knowledge and skills.
  11. Adhere to all institutional policies and procedures, including safety protocols and confidentiality guidelines.
  12. Act as a patient advocate, ensuring that all research activities are conducted with the highest level of patient care and respect.
  13. Serve as a resource and mentor to junior research staff and students.
  14. Participate in quality improvement initiatives and assist with developing and implementing best practices for respiratory research.
  15. Contribute to the overall mission of Cleveland Clinic by promoting a culture of excellence and innovation in research.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Nursing: A Research Nurse At Cleveland Clinic Must Possess A Bachelor's Degree In Nursing From An Accredited Institution. This Provides A Strong Foundation In Nursing Theory And Practice, As Well As Research Methodology.

  • Registered Nurse (Rn) License: The Candidate Must Hold A Current And Valid Rn License In The State Of Ohio. This Demonstrates Their Competence And Ability To Practice Nursing In Accordance With State Regulations.

  • Experience In Respiratory Care: The Ideal Candidate Should Have A Minimum Of 2-3 Years Of Experience In Respiratory Care, Either In A Clinical Or Research Setting. This Will Ensure They Have A Strong Understanding Of Respiratory Diseases And Treatments.

  • Certification In Clinical Research: It Is Preferred That The Candidate Holds A Certification In Clinical Research, Such As Certified Clinical Research Professional (Ccrp) Or Certified Clinical Research Coordinator (Ccrc). This Indicates Their Knowledge And Skills In Conducting Research Studies.

  • Strong Communication And Organizational Skills: As A Research Nurse, The Candidate Will Be Working With A Multidisciplinary Team And Must Be Able To Effectively Communicate And Collaborate With Team Members. They Should Also Possess Excellent Organizational Skills To Manage And Coordinate Research Activities.
