- Provide compassionate and skilled respiratory care to patients in accordance with Cleveland Clinic's standards and protocols.
- Collaborate with a team of respiratory therapists and other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Administer and monitor various respiratory treatments, therapies, and medications.
- Assess and evaluate patient response to respiratory interventions and make necessary adjustments to treatment plans.
- Educate patients and their families on respiratory health, disease management, and treatment plans.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records and documentation.
- Stay current with advancements in respiratory technology and techniques through ongoing education and training.
- Adhere to infection control and safety protocols to maintain a safe and healthy work environment.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development and implementation of best practices.
- Provide exceptional customer service to patients and their families, addressing any concerns or questions they may have.
- Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare providers to develop comprehensive treatment plans for patients.
- Maintain confidentiality of patient information and adhere to HIPAA regulations.
- Foster a positive and professional work environment by demonstrating teamwork, communication, and mutual respect.
- Adhere to all Cleveland Clinic policies and procedures.
- Attend departmental and organizational meetings and trainings as required.
Bachelor's Degree In Respiratory Care Or Related Field From An Accredited Institution.
Current And Valid Certification As A Registered Respiratory Therapist (Rrt) From The National Board For Respiratory Care (Nbrc).
Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience As A Respiratory Therapist In A Hospital Or Clinical Setting.
Knowledge And Proficiency In The Use Of Various Respiratory Equipment And Techniques, Including Mechanical Ventilation, Airway Management, And Oxygen Therapy.
Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Effectively Collaborate With A Multidisciplinary Team And Educate Patients And Families On Respiratory Care.
