  1. Conduct and interpret EEG tests: Conduct EEG tests on patients in a safe and accurate manner, ensuring proper electrode placement and monitoring patient responses to stimuli. Interpret EEG readings to provide accurate diagnosis and treatment recommendations.
  2. Provide accurate readings: Ensure that all EEG readings are accurate and properly documented, following established protocols and procedures.
  3. Assist in diagnosis and treatment: Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to assist in the diagnosis and treatment of patients with neurological disorders, providing valuable insights and recommendations based on EEG findings.
  4. Ensure patient safety and comfort: Prioritize the safety and comfort of patients during EEG procedures, taking necessary precautions and addressing any concerns or discomfort they may experience.
  5. Stay updated on EEG technology: Stay informed about advancements in EEG technology and techniques, continuously improving skills and knowledge to provide the highest quality of care.
  6. Maintain equipment: Maintain and calibrate EEG equipment, ensuring proper functioning and promptly reporting any issues to the appropriate personnel.
  7. Document patient information: Accurately document patient information, including medical history, test results, and treatment plans in electronic medical records.
  8. Adhere to hospital policies and procedures: Follow all hospital policies and procedures, including safety protocols, infection control measures, and patient confidentiality guidelines.
  9. Collaborate with team members: Work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals, including physicians, nurses, and technicians, to provide comprehensive and coordinated patient care.
  10. Maintain professional standards: Adhere to professional and ethical standards, including maintaining patient confidentiality and respecting diversity and cultural differences among patients and colleagues.
  11. Continuously improve skills and knowledge: Participate in ongoing education and training opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge in EEG technology and patient care.
  12. Provide excellent customer service: Demonstrate a positive and professional attitude towards patients and their families, providing excellent customer service and addressing any concerns or questions they may have.

Job Qualifications
  • Certification: A Minimum Of An Associate's Degree In A Related Field And Certification As An Eeg Technician From Abret (American Board Of Registration Of Electroencephalographic Technologists).

  • Experience: At Least 2 Years Of Experience Working As An Eeg Technician In A Clinical Setting, Preferably In A Hospital Or Healthcare Facility.

  • Knowledge Of Eeg Equipment: Proficiency In Operating And Troubleshooting Various Eeg Equipment, Including Digital And Analog Machines, Amplifiers, And Transducers.

  • Understanding Of Eeg Interpretation: A Thorough Understanding Of Eeg Waveforms And Patterns, As Well As The Ability To Recognize And Interpret Abnormal Findings.

  • Attention To Detail: A Keen Eye For Detail And The Ability To Maintain Accuracy And Consistency In Recording And Analyzing Eeg Data, As Well As Adhering To Strict Quality Control Standards.
