Job Description

  1. Develop Personalized Nutrition Plans: The Registered Dietitian will be responsible for creating customized nutrition plans for patients based on their specific health needs and goals.
  2. Provide Education and Support: The Registered Dietitian will educate patients on proper nutrition and provide ongoing support to help them make healthy lifestyle changes.
  3. Conduct Assessments: The Registered Dietitian will conduct thorough assessments of patients' nutritional status and provide recommendations for improvement.
  4. Stay Up-to-Date on Nutrition Research: The Registered Dietitian will be responsible for staying current on the latest research and trends in nutrition and incorporating this knowledge into patient care.
  5. Collaborate with Healthcare Team: The Registered Dietitian will work closely with other healthcare professionals to ensure a comprehensive approach to patient care.
  6. Maintain Accurate Records: The Registered Dietitian will keep detailed records of patient progress, nutrition plans, and any changes made to their care.
  7. Demonstrate Professionalism: The Registered Dietitian will uphold high standards of professionalism and ethical conduct in all interactions with patients, colleagues, and other healthcare professionals.
  8. Participate in Team Meetings: The Registered Dietitian will actively participate in team meetings to discuss patient progress, treatment plans, and any necessary adjustments.
  9. Continuously Improve Processes: The Registered Dietitian will identify areas for improvement in the nutrition program and work with colleagues to implement changes for better patient outcomes.
  10. Adhere to Policies and Regulations: The Registered Dietitian will adhere to all company policies and regulations related to patient care, privacy, and confidentiality.

Job Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree In Nutrition Or A Related Field: A Minimum Of A Bachelor's Degree In Nutrition, Dietetics, Or A Related Field Is Typically Required For A Registered Dietitian Position At Cleveland Clinic.

  • Registered Dietitian (Rd) Credential: Candidates Must Be Registered With The Commission On Dietetic Registration (Cdr) As A Registered Dietitian (Rd) To Be Considered For The Job.

  • State Licensure: In Addition To The Rd Credential, Candidates Must Also Hold A Current State License To Practice As A Dietitian In The State Where Cleveland Clinic Is Located.

  • Experience In Clinical And Outpatient Settings: Cleveland Clinic Is A Large Healthcare Organization With A Diverse Patient Population, So Experience Working In Both Clinical And Outpatient Settings Is Highly Desirable For This Role.

  • Strong Communication And Counseling Skills: As A Registered Dietitian At Cleveland Clinic, The Ability To Effectively Communicate With Patients And Provide Nutrition Counseling Is Essential. Candidates Should Possess Excellent Interpersonal Skills And Be Able To Tailor Their Communication Style To The Needs Of Each Individual Patient.
