- Conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations for geriatric patients and develop personalized treatment plans.
- Monitor and adjust medication regimens to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide holistic care for geriatric patients.
- Educate patients and their families on mental health conditions, treatment options, and self-care strategies.
- Provide ongoing support and counseling to patients and their families to promote mental wellness.
- Stay updated on current research and advancements in geriatric psychiatry to continuously improve patient care.
- Participate in departmental meetings and contribute to the development of new treatment programs.
- Maintain accurate and thorough medical records in compliance with institutional and legal standards.
- Adhere to all clinical and ethical standards set by regulatory bodies and the Cleveland Clinic.
- Continuously assess and monitor patient progress and make necessary adjustments to treatment plans.
- Provide crisis intervention and management when needed.
- Collaborate with community resources to provide referral services for patients with complex needs.
- Actively participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes and satisfaction.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and interdisciplinary team members to ensure continuity of care.
- Maintain confidentiality and privacy of patient information in accordance with HIPAA regulations.
Board Certification In Psychiatry And Geriatric Psychiatry From The American Board Of Psychiatry And Neurology.
Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience In Providing Outpatient Psychiatric Care To Geriatric Patients.
Knowledge And Experience In Treating A Wide Range Of Psychiatric Disorders Commonly Found In Geriatric Patients, Including Dementia, Depression, And Anxiety.
Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills To Effectively Collaborate With A Multidisciplinary Team And Provide Patient-Centered Care.
Ability To Obtain And Maintain An Active Medical License In The State Of Ohio And Meet All Credentialing Requirements Of The Cleveland Clinic.
