  1. Conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations of adult patients with cancer to assess their mental health needs and develop personalized treatment plans.
  2. Provide evidence-based psychotherapy and medication management for patients with cancer, addressing their emotional and psychological challenges.
  3. Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated and holistic care for patients.
  4. Educate patients and their families about the psychological impact of cancer and offer support and coping strategies.
  5. Monitor and track patients' progress and adjust treatment plans as needed.
  6. Maintain accurate and thorough documentation of patient care and progress.
  7. Stay updated on the latest research and developments in the field of psycho-oncology to provide the most effective and innovative care.
  8. Serve as a resource and consultant for other healthcare professionals regarding the mental health needs of patients with cancer.
  9. Adhere to ethical and legal standards of practice in all patient interactions.
  10. Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and outcomes.

Job Qualifications
  • Medical Degree From An Accredited Institution: A Psychiatrist, Adult Psycho-Oncology At Cleveland Clinic Must Have A Medical Degree From An Accredited Institution, Such As The American Medical Association.

  • Board Certification In Psychiatric Medicine: Candidates Must Be Board-Certified In Psychiatric Medicine By The American Board Of Psychiatry And Neurology (Abpn) To Ensure They Have The Necessary Knowledge And Skills To Provide High-Quality Care To Adult Patients With Cancer.

  • Experience In Psycho-Oncology: Candidates Must Have Experience Working In The Field Of Psycho-Oncology, Which Includes Treating The Psychological And Emotional Aspects Of Cancer And Helping Patients Cope With The Challenges Of Cancer Diagnosis And Treatment.

  • Excellent Communication Skills: As A Psychiatrist, Adult Psycho-Oncology, Strong Communication Skills Are Essential To Effectively Communicate With Patients, Their Families, And Other Members Of The Healthcare Team.
