- Develop and oversee the child and adolescent psychiatry residency program at Cleveland Clinic.
- Collaborate with other physicians and healthcare professionals to ensure high-quality patient care and resident education.
- Serve as a mentor and role model for residents, providing guidance and support in their professional development.
- Create and implement a comprehensive curriculum that meets the standards of the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME).
- Continuously evaluate and improve the residency program to ensure it meets the needs of residents, patients, and the healthcare organization.
- Recruit and select residents who are a good fit for the program and the organization's values.
- Provide leadership and direction to the program's faculty and staff.
- Develop and maintain relationships with community partners, including other healthcare organizations and academic institutions, to enhance the residency program.
- Stay current on trends and advancements in child and adolescent psychiatry, incorporating them into the residency program as appropriate.
- Ensure compliance with all ACGME and hospital policies and procedures.
- Collaborate with the Graduate Medical Education office to maintain accreditation for the residency program.
- Serve as a liaison between the residency program and other departments within the organization.
- Participate in the recruitment and retention of faculty members for the child and adolescent psychiatry residency program.
- Provide regular updates and reports on the progress and success of the residency program to hospital leadership.
- Support and promote a culture of diversity, equity, and inclusion within the residency program and the organization as a whole.
- Foster a positive and professional learning environment for residents, promoting teamwork, communication, and collaboration.
- Participate in the evaluation and assessment of resident performance and provide feedback for improvement.
- Maintain a personal and professional commitment to providing exceptional patient care and promoting the mission and values of Cleveland Clinic.
Medical Degree: The Program Director Must Have A Doctor Of Medicine (Md) Or Doctor Of Osteopathic Medicine (Do) Degree From An Accredited Medical School.
Board Certification In Child & Adolescent Psychiatry: Candidates Must Be Board Certified In Child & Adolescent Psychiatry By The American Board Of Psychiatry And Neurology (Abpn).
Previous Leadership Experience: The Ideal Candidate Should Have Previous Experience As A Program Director Or Assistant Program Director For A Child & Adolescent Psychiatry Residency Program.
Strong Clinical Background: Candidates Should Have A Strong Background In Clinical Practice And Be Actively Involved In Patient Care In The Field Of Child & Adolescent Psychiatry.
Academic Affiliation: The Program Director Should Have A Strong Academic Background And Be Eligible For Appointment At The Rank Of Associate Or Full Professor At A Reputable Medical School.
