- Lead and oversee the Child and Adolescent Psychiatry Residency Program at Cleveland Clinic.
- Develop and implement a comprehensive curriculum for the program that meets all accreditation standards.
- Recruit and select highly qualified residents for the program.
- Provide mentorship and guidance to residents throughout their training, including regular evaluations and feedback.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide a multidisciplinary approach to patient care.
- Ensure compliance with all program and institutional policies and procedures.
- Participate in the evaluation and accreditation processes for the program.
- Stay current with advancements and changes in the field of child and adolescent psychiatry and incorporate them into the program.
- Create a positive and inclusive learning environment for residents.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement and innovation within the program.
- Facilitate and oversee research projects and scholarly activities for residents.
- Serve as a role model for professionalism, ethical behavior, and patient-centered care.
- Represent the program at local, regional, and national conferences and events.
- Collaborate with other program directors and leaders within Cleveland Clinic to promote collaboration and excellence in patient care.
- Develop and maintain relationships with community organizations and agencies to enhance the training and education opportunities for residents.
- Develop and manage the program budget.
- Provide guidance and support to residents in their transition to independent practice.
- Promote and uphold the mission, vision, and values of Cleveland Clinic.
- Participate in the recruitment and retention of faculty for the program.
- Act as a liaison between the program, residents, faculty, and administration to address any issues or concerns.
Medical Degree: A Program Director For A Child & Adolescent Psychiatry Residency At Cleveland Clinic Must Hold A Medical Degree From An Accredited Institution. This Includes Completion Of Undergraduate Studies And Medical School, As Well As Any Required Residency Programs.
Board Certification: Candidates Must Be Board Certified In Child & Adolescent Psychiatry By The American Board Of Psychiatry And Neurology. This Ensures That The Program Director Has Met Rigorous Standards For Education, Training, And Experience In The Field.
Experience In Academic Leadership: The Ideal Candidate Will Have A Proven Track Record Of Success In Academic Leadership, Preferably In A Residency Or Fellowship Program. This Includes Experience In Curriculum Development, Faculty Development, And Program Evaluation.
Clinical Experience: In Addition To Academic Leadership, Candidates Should Have Significant Clinical Experience In The Field Of Child & Adolescent Psychiatry. This Includes A Broad Range Of Experience In Both Inpatient And Outpatient Settings, As Well As Experience With Diverse Patient Populations.
Strong Communication And Interpersonal Skills: As A Leader Of The Residency Program, The Program Director Must Have Strong Communication And Interpersonal Skills. This Includes The Ability To Effectively Communicate With Residents, Faculty, And Other Healthcare Professionals, As Well As The Ability To Foster A Positive And Collaborative Learning Environment.
