  1. Provide expert care and treatment for patients with neurological conditions, including stroke, traumatic brain injury, and spinal cord injuries.
  2. Work closely with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals to develop personalized treatment plans for patients.
  3. Conduct thorough evaluations of patients' medical histories, physical abilities, and functional limitations to determine appropriate treatment plans.
  4. Monitor patients' progress and modify treatment plans as necessary to ensure optimal outcomes.
  5. Utilize evidence-based practices and the latest technologies to provide cutting-edge rehabilitation services to patients.
  6. Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient progress, treatment plans, and outcomes.
  7. Communicate effectively and collaborate with other physicians, therapists, and healthcare providers to ensure comprehensive care for patients.
  8. Stay up-to-date with advancements in the field of PM&R and neurorehabilitation through continuing education and professional development activities.
  9. Adhere to all ethical and legal standards and maintain patient confidentiality at all times.
  10. Demonstrate compassion and empathy towards patients and their families while providing support and encouragement throughout the rehabilitation process.
  11. Participate in departmental and hospital initiatives to improve patient care and outcomes.
  12. Act as a mentor and resource for other healthcare professionals, including residents and medical students, by sharing knowledge and expertise.
  13. Adhere to all Cleveland Clinic policies and procedures and promote a culture of safety and excellence within the department.
  14. Maintain a positive and professional demeanor while representing Cleveland Clinic in the community and at professional events.
  15. Continuously monitor and assess patient satisfaction and implement changes to enhance the patient experience.

Job Qualifications
  • Medical Degree: A Pm&R Neurorehabilitation Physiatrist At Cleveland Clinic Must Hold A Doctor Of Medicine (Md) Or Doctor Of Osteopathic Medicine (Do) Degree From An Accredited Medical School.

  • Board Certification: Candidates Must Be Board Certified In Physical Medicine And Rehabilitation (Pm&R) And Have A Subspecialty Certification In Neurorehabilitation From The American Board Of Physical Medicine And Rehabilitation (Abpmr).

  • Fellowship Training: A Minimum Of One Year Of Fellowship Training In Neurorehabilitation Is Required. This Fellowship Must Be Accredited By The Accreditation Council For Graduate Medical Education (Acgme).

  • Experience: Candidates Must Have At Least Three Years Of Experience Practicing As A Pm&R Neurorehabilitation Physiatrist, Preferably In An Academic Or Tertiary Care Setting.

  • Licensure: A Current, Unrestricted Medical License To Practice In The State Of Ohio Is Required. Candidates Must Also Hold A Current Drug Enforcement Administration (Dea) Certificate And Be Eligible For Medical Staff Privileges At Cleveland Clinic.
