Completion Of An Accredited Phlebotomy Training Program: Candidates For A Phlebotomy Technician - Prn Job At Cleveland Clinic Should Have Completed An Accredited Phlebotomy Training Program And Obtained A Certificate Or Diploma In Phlebotomy.
Certification As A Phlebotomy Technician: The Ideal Candidate Should Also Have A Nationally Recognized Certification As A Phlebotomy Technician, Such As The Certified Phlebotomy Technician (Cpt) From The National Healthcareer Association (Nha) Or The Phlebotomy Technician (Pbt) From The American Society For Clinical Pathology (Ascp).
Experience In Phlebotomy: Candidates Should Have A Minimum Of 1-2 Years Of Experience Working As A Phlebotomy Technician, Preferably In A Hospital Or Clinical Setting. This Experience Should Include Venipuncture, Capillary Puncture, And Specimen Collection And Handling.
Knowledge Of Medical Terminology And Laboratory Procedures: A Strong Understanding Of Medical Terminology And Laboratory Procedures Is Essential For A Phlebotomy Technician - Prn At Cleveland Clinic. Candidates Should Be Able To Accurately Interpret Physician Orders And Communicate Effectively With Laboratory Staff.
Flexibility And Availability To Work Prn Shifts: The Phlebotomy Technician - Prn Position At Cleveland Clinic Requires Flexibility And Availability To Work On An As-Needed Basis, Including Weekends And Holidays.
