  1. Collect and process blood samples from patients for diagnostic testing.
  2. Follow proper procedures for blood collection, labeling, and transport to ensure accuracy and quality of samples.
  3. Provide excellent customer service and communication to patients during the blood drawing process, ensuring a positive and comfortable experience.
  4. Maintain a clean and organized work area, following all safety protocols and infection control practices.
  5. Adhere to all HIPAA regulations and patient confidentiality guidelines.
  6. Work closely with healthcare providers and other team members to ensure efficient and timely processing of samples.
  7. Complete all necessary documentation and paperwork accurately and in a timely manner.
  8. Attend ongoing training and educational opportunities to stay updated on best practices and procedures.
  9. Demonstrate a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and a commitment to providing high-quality patient care.
  10. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to troubleshoot any issues or concerns related to blood collection and processing.
  11. Maintain and order necessary supplies and equipment for phlebotomy procedures.
  12. Stay up to date on industry advancements and technologies to enhance job performance.
  13. Continuously strive to improve processes and procedures to enhance patient care and overall department efficiency.

Job Qualifications
  • Certification: Candidates Should Have A Valid Certification As A Phlebotomy Technician From A Recognized Organization, Such As The American Society For Clinical Pathology (Ascp) Or National Healthcareer Association (Nha).

  • Education: A High School Diploma Or Equivalent Is Required, And Completion Of An Accredited Phlebotomy Training Program Is Preferred.

  • Experience: Previous Experience Working As A Phlebotomy Technician In A Clinical Setting Is Highly Desired, With A Minimum Of One Year Of Experience Preferred.

  • Knowledge Of Medical Terminology: Candidates Should Possess A Strong Understanding Of Medical Terminology And Be Able To Accurately Identify And Label Blood Samples For Testing.

  • Strong Communication Skills: The Ability To Effectively Communicate With Patients, Healthcare Providers, And Colleagues Is Essential In This Role. Candidates Should Have Excellent Interpersonal Skills And Be Able To Explain Procedures To Patients In A Clear And Professional Manner.
