As a Pharmacy Technician, you will play a crucial role in helping us provide exceptional pharmaceutical care to our patients.   1. Dispense medications accurately and efficiently to inpatient units.
  2. Assist pharmacists in preparing and labeling medications.
  3. Maintain proper inventory levels and order medications as needed.
  4. Verify patient information and medication orders for accuracy.
  5. Collaborate with healthcare team members to ensure safe and effective medication use.
  6. Handle and store medications according to proper procedures.
  7. Provide exceptional customer service to patients and their families.
  8. Adhere to all safety and privacy regulations.
  9. Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
  10. Keep up-to-date with new medications and pharmacy practices.
  11. Respond to medication-related inquiries and resolve any issues.
  12. Assist with medication compounding and IV preparation.
  13. Perform medication calculations accurately.
  14. Complete necessary documentation and recordkeeping.
  15. Participate in continuing education and training opportunities.
  16. Comply with all Cleveland Clinic policies and procedures.
  17. Communicate effectively with patients, healthcare team members, and pharmacy staff.
  18. Assist with quality improvement initiatives.
  19. Contribute to a positive and collaborative work environment.
  20. Perform any additional duties or tasks as assigned by the pharmacy manager or supervisor.

Job Qualifications
  • Certified Pharmacy Technician (Cpht) – Candidates Should Possess A Valid Cpht Certification From A Recognized Pharmacy Technician Training Program.

  • Inpatient Pharmacy Experience – Previous Experience Working In An Inpatient Pharmacy Setting Is Highly Desired. Candidates Should Have A Strong Understanding Of Inpatient Pharmacy Operations And Be Familiar With Relevant Regulations And Protocols.

  • Knowledge Of Medications And Medical Terminology – Candidates Should Have A Thorough Understanding Of Medication Names, Dosage Forms, And Medical Terminology. This Knowledge Is Crucial For Accurately Dispensing And Labeling Medications.

  • Attention To Detail – A High Level Of Attention To Detail Is Essential For This Role. Pharmacy Technicians Are Responsible For Accurately Measuring And Dispensing Medications, As Well As Maintaining Precise Records Of Inventory And Patient Information.

  • Strong Communication Skills – Excellent Communication Skills Are Necessary For This Role, As Pharmacy Technicians Must Effectively Communicate With Pharmacists, Nurses, And Other Healthcare Professionals. Additionally, They Must Be Able To Provide Instructions And Answer Questions From Patients Regarding Their Medications.
