  1. Accurately and efficiently process and dispense medication orders for inpatient units.
  2. Collaborate with pharmacists and other healthcare professionals to ensure safe and effective medication management for patients.
  3. Perform medication inventory management, including ordering, receiving, and restocking medications.
  4. Utilize technology and automation systems to assist with medication dispensing and documentation.
  5. Maintain a clean and organized work environment to promote medication safety.
  6. Adhere to all state and federal regulations and policies related to medication handling and patient privacy.
  7. Provide excellent customer service to patients, families, and healthcare team members.
  8. Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and safety.
  9. Complete required training and continuing education to maintain knowledge and skills.
  10. Demonstrate a strong understanding of medication names, dosages, and routes of administration.
  11. Communicate effectively with patients to provide medication education and instructions.

Job Qualifications
  • Certified Pharmacy Technician (Cpht) License From A Nationally Recognized Organization, Such As The Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (Ptcb) Or The National Healthcareer Association (Nha).

  • Minimum Of 1-2 Years Of Experience Working As A Pharmacy Technician In An Inpatient Setting, Preferably At A Large Hospital Or Healthcare System.

  • Knowledge Of Medication Dosages, Interactions, And Proper Handling And Storage Procedures, As Well As Familiarity With Common Inpatient Medications And Their Uses.

  • Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Work Collaboratively With Pharmacists, Nurses, And Other Healthcare Professionals To Ensure Accurate And Timely Medication Administration.

  • Strong Attention To Detail And Ability To Multitask In A Fast-Paced, High-Stress Environment, With The Ability To Accurately And Efficiently Fill Prescriptions, Manage Inventory, And Maintain Patient Records.
