- Accurately and efficiently prepare and dispense medications for patients
- Follow all safety and quality standards in medication preparation and dispensing
- Maintain inventory and restock medications as needed
- Verify patient information and prescription details to ensure accuracy
- Collaborate with pharmacists and other healthcare professionals to provide exceptional care to patients
- Communicate effectively with patients and healthcare team members to address any questions or concerns
- Maintain patient confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA regulations
- Adhere to all state and federal laws and regulations related to pharmacy practices
- Keep up-to-date with changes in medication and prescription terminology
- Provide excellent customer service to patients and their families
- Work efficiently in a fast-paced and dynamic healthcare environment
- Complete all necessary administrative tasks, such as data entry and record-keeping
- Continuously strive to improve processes and procedures to enhance patient care and efficiency
- Participate in ongoing training and education to maintain certification and stay up-to-date on industry developments

High School Diploma Or Equivalent: A Pharmacy Technician At Cleveland Clinic Must Possess A High School Diploma Or Equivalent Education.
Pharmacy Technician Certification: Candidates Must Be Certified As A Pharmacy Technician By The Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (Ptcb).
Experience In A Healthcare Setting: Prior Experience Working In A Pharmacy Or Healthcare Setting Is Preferred For This Position.
Knowledge Of Medication And Pharmacy Practices: Candidates Should Have A Thorough Understanding Of Medication And Pharmacy Practices, Including Drug Classifications, Dosage Calculations, And Dispensing Procedures.
Excellent Communication And Customer Service Skills: The Role Of A Pharmacy Technician Involves Working Closely With Patients, Pharmacists, And Other Healthcare Professionals. Strong Communication And Customer Service Skills Are Essential For Success In This Position.
