  1. Diagnose and treat neurological conditions in pediatric patients.
  2. Perform surgical procedures on pediatric patients with neurological disorders.
  3. Collaborate with other medical professionals to develop treatment plans for pediatric patients.
  4. Monitor and manage the post-operative care of pediatric patients.
  5. Keep up-to-date with advancements in pediatric neurosurgery and incorporate new techniques into practice.
  6. Communicate effectively with patients and their families regarding treatment options and expectations.
  7. Maintain accurate and detailed medical records for all patients.
  8. Adhere to all hospital policies, procedures, and protocols.
  9. Attend and participate in departmental meetings and conferences.
  10. Mentor and train medical students, residents, and fellows in pediatric neurosurgery.
  11. Continuously strive to improve patient outcomes and satisfaction.
  12. Collaborate with hospital staff to ensure a safe and comfortable environment for pediatric patients.
  13. Adhere to all safety and infection control protocols.
  14. Participate in research projects related to pediatric neurosurgery.
  15. Maintain licensure and certification requirements.
  16. Participate in continuing education and professional development opportunities.
  17. Provide compassionate and empathetic care to pediatric patients and their families.

Job Qualifications

  • Board Certification In Neurosurgery: Candidates For A Pediatric Neurosurgeon Position At Cleveland Clinic Should Hold A Valid Board Certification In Neurosurgery From The American Board Of Neurological Surgery Or The American Osteopathic Board Of Surgery.

  • Fellowship Training In Pediatric Neurosurgery: A Minimum Of Two Years Of Fellowship Training In Pediatric Neurosurgery Is Required For This Position. This Training Should Be Completed At An Accredited Program.

  • Extensive Experience With Pediatric Cases: Candidates Should Have Significant Experience In Treating Pediatric Neurosurgical Cases, Including Brain And Spine Tumors, Congenital Anomalies, And Traumatic Injuries. This Experience Should Be Demonstrated Through A Strong Case Log And Positive Patient Outcomes.

  • Strong Communication And Teamwork Skills: As Part Of A Multidisciplinary Team, A Pediatric Neurosurgeon At Cleveland Clinic Must Possess Excellent Communication And Teamwork Skills To Collaborate With Other Healthcare Professionals, Including Pediatricians, Neurologists, And Radiologists.

  • Commitment To Research And Education: Cleveland Clinic Places A Strong Emphasis On Research And Education, And Candidates For This Position Should Have A Proven Track Record Of Academic Excellence And A Commitment To Advancing The Field Of Pediatric Neurosurgery Through Research And Teaching.
