
Patient Care Nursing Assistant (PCNA) - Transplant Specialty Care

- Provide direct patient care under the supervision of registered nurses.
- Monitor and record patient vital signs, including temperature, pulse, blood pressure, and respiratory rate.
- Assist with patient hygiene and personal care, such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Collect and document patient information, including medical history, current symptoms, and medications.
- Administer basic medical treatments, such as wound care, catheterization, and oxygen therapy.
- Assist with patient transfers and positioning to ensure comfort and prevent pressure ulcers.
- Monitor patient dietary needs and assist with feeding as necessary.
- Respond to patient calls and requests in a timely and compassionate manner.
- Collaborate with the nursing staff to develop and implement patient care plans.
- Maintain a clean and safe patient environment by following infection control protocols.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
- Participate in ongoing training and education to maintain and improve skills and knowledge.
- Adhere to all hospital policies and procedures, including HIPAA regulations.
- Report any changes in patient condition or concerns to the nursing staff.
- Provide emotional support and comfort to patients and their families during difficult times.
- Assist with the transportation of patients to and from procedures and appointments.

Certified Nursing Assistant (Cna) Certification: The Candidate Should Hold A Valid Cna Certification, Which Demonstrates Their Knowledge And Skills In Providing Basic Patient Care.
Experience In Transplant Specialty Care: The Candidate Should Have A Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience In A Transplant Specialty Care Setting, Preferably At A Renowned Healthcare Facility Like Cleveland Clinic.
Knowledge Of Transplant Procedures And Medications: The Candidate Should Have A Thorough Understanding Of Various Transplant Procedures And Medications Used In The Care Of Transplant Patients. This Includes Knowledge Of Immunosuppressant Drugs And Their Potential Side Effects.
Strong Communication And Interpersonal Skills: As A Pcna In Transplant Specialty Care, The Candidate Will Be Working Closely With A Multidisciplinary Team Including Physicians, Nurses, And Other Healthcare Professionals. Strong Communication And Interpersonal Skills Are Essential For Effective Collaboration And Patient Care.
