Job Description

The Cleveland Clinic is seeking an Oncology Inpatient Pharmacy Technician who is eager to join a team of professionals dedicated to providing the highest quality of care to patients. As a member of the pharmacy team, the Oncology Inpatient Pharmacy Technician will be responsible for obtaining, preparing, and delivering medications to oncology inpatients. The successful candidate should have excellent organizational and interpersonal skills, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to maintain a high level of accuracy in their work. Responsibilities:

  • Obtain medications from the pharmacy for oncology inpatients.
  • Prepare medications according to established protocols, ensuring accuracy and safety.
  • Deliver medications to oncology inpatients in a timely manner.
  • Maintain records and document all patient information accurately.
  • Adhere to all organization policies and procedures related to pharmacy operations.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area.
  • Communicate effectively with other pharmacy staff members to ensure patient safety and satisfaction.
  • Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal laws and regulations related to pharmaceuticals.
  • Identify and report any potential safety issues or medication errors.
  • Participate in continuing education and professional development opportunities.
