Job Description

Cleveland Clinic is looking for an experienced and compassionate Obesity Medicine Physician to join our team of healthcare professionals. The ideal candidate will have a strong knowledge of obesity medicine, a commitment to patient care, and a passion for making a positive difference in the lives of our patients.A successful Obesity Medicine Physician at Cleveland Clinic will possess the following qualifications: Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree from an accredited medical school, board certification in Obesity Medicine, and a current unrestricted license to practice medicine in the state of Ohio. In addition, the ideal candidate should have a minimum of two years of clinical experience in obesity medicine, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities of an Obesity Medicine Physician at Cleveland Clinic:

  1. Provide patient care for individuals with obesity or weight-related medical conditions.
  2. Monitor patient progress, and adjust treatment plans as needed.
  3. Educate patients and families about lifestyle modifications, nutrition, and other strategies to promote weight loss and health.
  4. Maintain accurate records of patient progress and treatments.
  5. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care.
  6. Participate in research activities related to obesity and weight management.
  7. Remain current on advances in obesity medicine and treatments.
  8. Adhere to all applicable laws, regulations, and clinical standards.
