  1. Supervise and train a team of patient transporters to ensure the safe and timely transportation of patients within the hospital.
  2. Coordinate and prioritize patient transport requests based on urgency and departmental needs.
  3. Maintain a professional and courteous demeanor while interacting with patients, families, and hospital staff.
  4. Ensure all patient transport equipment and supplies are properly maintained and stocked.
  5. Monitor and assess the performance of the patient transport team, providing feedback and guidance as needed.
  6. Collaborate with other departments, such as nursing and environmental services, to ensure efficient and effective patient flow.
  7. Adhere to all hospital policies and procedures related to patient privacy, safety, and infection control.
  8. Address and resolve any issues or concerns raised by patients or staff regarding patient transport services.
  9. Keep accurate records and reports of patient transport activities, including tracking and reporting on performance metrics.
  10. Participate in departmental meetings and training sessions to stay updated on hospital policies, procedures, and best practices.
  11. Serve as a role model for the patient transport team, promoting a positive and patient-centered culture.
  12. Continuously seek opportunities to improve patient transport processes and procedures to enhance the overall patient experience.
  13. Assist with special projects and initiatives as assigned by hospital leadership.
  14. Maintain a professional and positive image of the hospital and its mission at all times.

Job Qualifications
  • Minimum Of 2-3 Years Of Experience In A Patient Transport Or Healthcare Setting.

  • Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Interact With Patients, Families, And Medical Staff In A Professional Manner.

  • Strong Leadership Skills, Including The Ability To Lead A Team Of Transporters And Prioritize Tasks Effectively.

  • Knowledge Of Medical Terminology And Hospital Procedures, Including Infection Control Protocols.

  • High School Diploma Or Equivalent, With Some College Coursework Preferred. Additional Certification In Healthcare Or Transportation-Related Fields May Also Be Required.
