  1. Conduct laboratory tests and procedures accurately and efficiently according to established protocols and standards.
  2. Analyze and interpret laboratory results, ensuring accuracy and timely reporting.
  3. Maintain and operate laboratory equipment, troubleshoot issues, and perform routine maintenance.
  4. Prepare and maintain laboratory supplies and inventory.
  5. Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work environment.
  6. Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure proper specimen collection and handling.
  7. Communicate effectively with team members and other departments to facilitate smooth workflow.
  8. Participate in quality control and quality assurance activities to ensure accuracy and reliability of test results.
  9. Maintain accurate and up-to-date records and documentation.
  10. Stay current with advancements and changes in laboratory technology and procedures.
  11. Train and mentor junior lab technicians and interns.
  12. Adhere to ethical standards and confidentiality guidelines.
  13. Demonstrate a commitment to patient care and satisfaction.
  14. Adhere to all hospital and laboratory policies and procedures.
  15. Participate in continuing education and professional development activities.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Medical Laboratory Science Or Related Field.

  • Minimum Of 3 Years Of Experience Working In An Anatomic Pathology Laboratory.

  • Certification As A Medical Laboratory Scientist (Mls) Or Medical Technologist (Mt) By A Nationally Recognized Accrediting Agency, Such As Ascp Or Amt.

  • Proficiency In Using Laboratory Equipment, Including Microtomes, Tissue Processors, And Immunohistochemistry Stainers.

  • Knowledge Of Laboratory Safety Protocols And Ability To Maintain Accurate Records And Documentation.
