- Provide high-quality, in-home infusion therapy to patients in a compassionate and professional manner.
- Assess patients' needs and develop individualized treatment plans.
- Administer medications and monitor patients' response to therapy.
- Educate patients and their families on medication administration, potential side effects, and self-care techniques.
- Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary team members to ensure coordinated and effective care.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient care.
- Monitor and maintain inventory of supplies and medications.
- Adhere to all safety and infection control protocols.
- Advocate for patients and promote their well-being.
- Continuously evaluate and improve upon nursing practices to ensure the highest level of care.
- Provide support and guidance to less experienced nurses and assist with training as needed.
- Stay up-to-date on the latest advancements and best practices in infusion therapy.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the overall success of the Home Infusion Pharmacy team.
- Maintain confidentiality and adhere to all HIPAA regulations.
- Demonstrate a positive and professional attitude in all interactions with patients, colleagues, and other healthcare professionals.
Registered Nurse (Rn) Licensure: The Candidate Must Possess A Valid Rn Licensure From The State Of Ohio, Or Be Eligible For Licensure Through Endorsement.
Infusion Experience: The Ideal Candidate Should Have A Minimum Of 2-3 Years Of Experience Working As An Infusion Rn, Preferably In A Home Infusion Pharmacy Setting. This Experience Should Include Proficiency In Administering Various Types Of Infusion Therapies, Managing Infusion Pumps, And Monitoring Patients For Adverse Reactions.
Knowledge Of Infusion Therapies: The Candidate Should Have A Strong Understanding Of Various Infusion Therapies, Including Antibiotics, Hydration, Nutrition, And Pain Management. They Should Also Be Familiar With Different Types Of Iv Access Devices And Be Able To Troubleshoot Any Issues That May Arise.
Strong Communication Skills: The Candidate Should Possess Excellent Communication Skills, Both Written And Verbal. They Should Be Able To Effectively Communicate With Patients, Their Families, And Other Healthcare Professionals To Ensure Proper Coordination Of Care.
Attention To Detail: The Candidate Should Have A Keen Eye For Detail And Be Able To Accurately Document Patient Information, Medication Administration, And Any Adverse Reactions. They Should Also Be Able To Follow Strict Protocols And Procedures To Ensure Patient Safety And Adhere To Regulatory Requirements.
