  1. Develop and implement infection prevention protocols and procedures in accordance with established guidelines and regulations.
  2. Conduct regular infection control assessments and audits to identify potential risks and areas for improvement.
  3. Collaborate with healthcare providers and staff to educate and train on infection control best practices.
  4. Monitor and investigate potential healthcare-associated infections, including conducting thorough investigations and reporting findings to the appropriate departments.
  5. Keep up-to-date with current infection control trends and research to ensure best practices are being followed.
  6. Maintain accurate and detailed records of all infection control activities and report findings to leadership.
  7. Work closely with the infection control committee to develop and revise policies and procedures as needed.
  8. Serve as a resource for staff, patients, and families regarding infection control practices and concerns.
  9. Participate in the development and implementation of outbreak management plans.
  10. Collaborate with other healthcare facilities and agencies to share information and best practices for infection control.
  11. Stay informed of new and emerging infectious diseases and develop preparedness plans for potential outbreaks.
  12. Conduct employee health screenings and provide recommendations for preventing the spread of infections among staff.
  13. Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to a culture of continuous improvement related to infection control.
  14. Monitor and manage infection control supply inventory and ensure proper use and disposal of infection control products.
  15. Assist with the development and delivery of infection control training programs for new and existing staff members.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Nursing, Public Health, Epidemiology, Or Related Field

  • Certification In Infection Control (Cic) Or Willingness To Obtain Within First Year Of Employment

  • Minimum Of 3 Years Experience In Infection Prevention And Control, Preferably In A Healthcare Setting

  • Strong Knowledge Of Infection Prevention Principles, Practices, And Regulations

  • Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Educate And Train Healthcare Staff On Infection Control Measures.
