  1. Conduct immunohistochemistry tests and experiments to aid in the diagnosis and treatment of patients.
  2. Perform tissue embedding, cutting, and staining procedures to prepare samples for analysis.
  3. Operate and maintain laboratory equipment and instruments to ensure accurate and reliable results.
  4. Collaborate with pathologists and other team members to ensure timely and accurate reporting of results.
  5. Maintain detailed records of all tests and procedures performed, adhering to strict quality control standards.
  6. Troubleshoot technical issues and recommend solutions to improve processes and procedures.
  7. Stay up-to-date with current research and developments in the field of histology and immunohistochemistry.
  8. Assist in the training and supervision of new laboratory personnel.
  9. Ensure compliance with all laboratory safety protocols and regulations.
  10. Contribute to the advancement of medical research by participating in research studies and projects.
  11. Participate in departmental meetings and discussions to provide insights and suggestions for improvement.
  12. Maintain a clean and organized laboratory environment.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In A Relevant Field Such As Biology, Chemistry, Or Medical Laboratory Science.

  • Certification As A Histology Technician (Ht) Or Histotechnologist (Htl) From A Recognized Accrediting Organization, Such As The American Society For Clinical Pathology (Ascp).

  • Knowledge And Experience With Immunohistochemistry Techniques And Protocols, Including Troubleshooting And Quality Control.

  • Familiarity With Laboratory Safety Procedures And Compliance With Regulatory Requirements, Such As Clia And Osha.

  • Strong Attention To Detail And Ability To Work Independently In A Fast-Paced Environment, With A Focus On Accuracy And Efficiency.
