
Donor Procurement Coordinator

- Coordinate and oversee the entire donation process, including communication with potential donors, donor families, and medical professionals to ensure timely and efficient donation.
- Maintain accurate and detailed records of potential donors, including medical history and consent forms.
- Work closely with transplant teams to identify potential recipients and match them with suitable donors.
- Coordinate and schedule all necessary medical and logistical arrangements for organ and tissue procurement.
- Conduct thorough evaluations of potential donors to ensure safety and suitability for donation.
- Communicate with donor families in a compassionate and respectful manner, providing support and guidance throughout the donation process.
- Ensure compliance with all legal and ethical guidelines and regulations related to organ and tissue donation.
- Collaborate with hospital staff, funeral homes, and other organizations to facilitate the donation process.
- Provide education and training to hospital staff and community members on the importance of organ and tissue donation.
- Maintain confidentiality and sensitivity when handling sensitive medical and personal information related to donation.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to continuously improve the donation process and patient outcomes.
- Serve as an advocate for organ and tissue donation, promoting awareness and addressing misconceptions in the community.
- Keep abreast of new developments and advancements in the field of organ and tissue donation and transplantation.
- Be available for on-call duty and respond promptly to donation referrals.
- Other duties as assigned by the Donor Procurement Coordinator Manager or other senior staff members.
Bachelor's Degree In Healthcare Management, Business Administration, Or A Related Field.
Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience In Donor Procurement Or Related Field, Preferably In A Hospital Or Healthcare Setting.
Knowledge Of Federal And State Regulations Related To Organ And Tissue Donation.
Strong Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Effectively Communicate With Donors, Families, And Healthcare Professionals.
Ability To Work Independently And Prioritize Tasks In A Fast-Paced Environment, While Maintaining Attention To Detail And Accuracy.
