Job Qualifications
  • Valid Paramedic License: A Critical Care Transport Paramedic At Cleveland Clinic Must Possess A Valid Paramedic License In The State Of Ohio. This Includes Current Certification In Basic Life Support (Bls), Advanced Cardiac Life Support (Acls), And Pediatric Advanced Life Support (Pals).

  • Critical Care Transport Certification: The Ideal Candidate Should Have A Current Critical Care Transport Certification, Such As Certified Flight Paramedic (Fp-C) Or Critical Care Paramedic (Ccp-C). This Certification Demonstrates Advanced Knowledge And Skills In Critical Care Transport.

  • Minimum Of 3 Years Of Experience: Candidates Must Have A Minimum Of 3 Years Of Experience As A Paramedic, With At Least 1 Year Of Experience In Critical Care Transport. This Ensures The Candidate Has The Necessary Skills And Experience To Handle High Acuity Patients During Transport.

  • Advanced Education: A Bachelor's Degree In Emergency Medical Services Or A Related Field Is Preferred For This Position. Advanced Education Shows A Commitment To Continuous Learning And Staying Current With Industry Advancements.

  • Excellent Communication And Teamwork Skills: Critical Care Transport Paramedics Work Closely With Other Healthcare Professionals, Including Nurses, Physicians, And Other Paramedics. Strong Communication And Teamwork Skills Are Essential To Providing Seamless Care And Ensuring Patient Safety During Transport.
