- Provide advanced and expert level care to critically ill and injured patients during transport to and from Cleveland Clinic facilities.
- Administer necessary medications and treatments in accordance with established protocols and guidelines.
- Monitor and assess patient's condition throughout transport, making necessary adjustments to treatment plan as needed.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless and efficient care for patients.
- Maintain accurate and thorough documentation of patient care and transport procedures.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures while transporting patients, equipment, and supplies.
- Demonstrate excellent communication skills and act as a patient advocate, providing comfort and reassurance to patients and their families.
- Continuously update knowledge and skills through training and education opportunities.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and assist with implementing new protocols and procedures.
- Maintain and clean equipment and vehicles, ensuring they are always in optimal working condition.
- Display a positive attitude and professional demeanor at all times while representing Cleveland Clinic.
- Adhere to all state and federal regulations and guidelines related to critical care transport.
- Serve as a mentor and resource for other team members, providing guidance and support as needed.

Valid Paramedic Certification: Candidates For This Role Must Hold A Valid Paramedic Certification From An Accredited Program. This Ensures That They Have The Necessary Medical Knowledge And Skills To Provide Advanced Care In Critical Situations.
Acls And Pals Certification: Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (Acls) And Pediatric Advanced Life Support (Pals) Certifications Are Required For This Role. These Certifications Demonstrate The Candidate's Ability To Manage Cardiac And Pediatric Emergencies, Which Are Common In Critical Care Transport Situations.
Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience As A Paramedic: To Be Considered For This Role, Candidates Must Have At Least 2 Years Of Experience Working As A Paramedic. This Ensures That They Have A Solid Foundation Of Experience In Pre-Hospital Care And Are Comfortable Handling Critical Situations.
Critical Care Paramedic Certification: Candidates With A Critical Care Paramedic (Ccp) Certification Will Be Given Preference For This Role. This Certification Indicates That The Candidate Has Received Specialized Training In Providing Advanced Care During Inter-Facility Transports And Other Critical Situations.
Excellent Communication And Teamwork Skills: Critical Care Transport Requires A High Level Of Communication And Teamwork Between Paramedics, Nurses, Physicians, And Other Healthcare Professionals. Candidates Must Demonstrate Strong Communication Skills And The Ability To Work Effectively In A Team Environment To Be Successful In This Role.
