Welcome to the Cole Eye Ambulatory Surgical Unit at Cleveland Clinic! We are currently seeking a highly motivated and skilled Assistant to join our team.   1. Greet and welcome patients, families, and visitors to the Cole Eye Ambulatory Surgical Unit in a friendly and professional manner.
  2. Assist in the day-to-day operations of the unit, including scheduling appointments, maintaining patient records, and managing phone calls and emails.
  3. Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure the smooth and efficient flow of patient care.
  4. Provide exceptional patient care by taking vitals, recording medical histories, and assisting with procedures as needed.
  5. Maintain a clean and organized work environment in accordance with infection control and safety protocols.
  6. Communicate effectively with patients and their families, addressing any questions or concerns they may have.
  7. Act as a liaison between patients, physicians, and other healthcare professionals to ensure timely and accurate communication.
  8. Demonstrate a strong understanding of ophthalmology and the procedures performed in the unit to provide support to physicians and patients.
  9. Adhere to all hospital policies and procedures, including patient confidentiality and HIPAA regulations.
  10. Continuously seek opportunities for professional development and growth to enhance skills and knowledge in the field of ophthalmology.
  11. Contribute to a positive and supportive work environment by collaborating with team members and displaying a positive attitude.
  12. Assist with administrative duties such as ordering supplies, maintaining inventory, and processing paperwork.

  15. Keep abreast of industry developments and advancements in ophthalmology to provide the best possible care to patients.
