Job Description

The Cleveland Clinic is looking for an experienced Caring for Caregivers Counselor to join our team and provide vital services to the caregivers within our community. As an integral part of our team, the successful candidate will be responsible for working directly with family and professional caregivers to promote their well-being and to help them better manage the stress associated with caring for a loved one. The ideal candidate will possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills, a passion for helping others, and a commitment to providing compassionate and individualized care.

Responsibilities:

  1. Evaluate and assess individual clients to determine their needs and develop individualized treatment plans.
  2. Provide counseling and psychotherapy services to family and professional caregivers.
  3. Provide education and support to caregivers on topics such as coping skills, stress management, financial management, and resource utilization.
  4. Facilitate support groups for caregivers to promote connection, collaboration, and community.
  5. Develop and implement outreach initiatives to promote awareness and utilization of services offered by the Cleveland Clinic.
  6. Consult with other healthcare professionals to ensure best practice standards for caregivers.
  7. Develop and maintain relationships with local community organizations to promote services and resources for caregivers.
  8. Maintain accurate and timely records of services provided.
  9. Participate in quality improvement initiatives.
  10. Maintain and adhere to professional ethical guidelines and standards.
