- Monitor and analyze cardiac rhythms of patients using specialized equipment and software.
- Ensure accurate and timely recording of all cardiac data and notify healthcare team of any abnormalities.
- Maintain and troubleshoot cardiac monitoring equipment to ensure proper functioning.
- Collaborate with healthcare team to develop and implement individualized patient care plans.
- Provide timely and accurate reports to healthcare team regarding changes in patient's cardiac status.
- Respond promptly to alarms and emergencies, taking appropriate action according to established protocols.
- Follow infection control and safety protocols to minimize risk of infection and injury.
- Maintain patient privacy and confidentiality at all times.
- Communicate effectively with patients and families, providing education and support as needed.
- Participate in ongoing training and professional development to stay updated on current practices and technology.
- Adhere to hospital and departmental policies and procedures.
- Maintain accurate and thorough documentation of patient information and procedures.
- Assist with other duties as assigned by supervisor or healthcare team.
Completion Of An Accredited Cardiac Monitoring Technician Program Or Equivalent Education And Experience.
Certification As A Cardiac Monitor Technician (Cmt) Or Certified Cardiovascular Technician (Cct) Preferred.
Minimum Of 1-2 Years Of Experience In Cardiac Monitoring, Preferably In A Hospital Or Clinical Setting.
Demonstrated Proficiency In Interpreting And Analyzing Cardiac Rhythms, Arrhythmias, And Other Abnormalities.
Strong Communication And Multitasking Skills, With The Ability To Accurately Document And Report Patient Information.
