  1. Supervise and lead a team of nurses in the Progressive Care Unit to ensure high-quality patient care is provided at all times.
  2. Implement and maintain standards of care and practice in accordance with hospital policies and procedures.
  3. Collaborate with the Nurse Manager to develop and implement unit goals and objectives.
  4. Monitor and evaluate the performance of nursing staff, providing coaching and mentoring as needed to ensure continuous improvement.
  5. Assist with staffing and scheduling to ensure adequate coverage and appropriate skill mix.
  6. Serve as a resource for staff, providing guidance and support in complex patient care situations.
  7. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care and ensure optimal outcomes.
  8. Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and safety.
  9. Ensure compliance with all regulatory and accreditation standards.
  10. Stay current with industry trends and best practices to promote continuous learning and professional development.
  11. Foster a positive and collaborative work environment that promotes teamwork and open communication.
  12. Represent the Progressive Care Unit and Cleveland Clinic in a professional and positive manner.
  13. Participate in administrative duties, such as budgeting, inventory management, and staff evaluations.
  14. Serve as a role model for ethical and professional conduct.
  15. Actively participate in hospital committees and meetings to contribute to the overall success of the organization.

Job Qualifications
  • Active Rn License: Candidates For This Position Must Hold An Active Registered Nurse License In The State Of Ohio.

  • Bachelor's Degree In Nursing: A Minimum Of A Bachelor's Degree In Nursing Is Required, With A Preference For Candidates Who Have Completed A Master's Degree Program.

  • Previous Leadership Experience: Candidates Should Have A Minimum Of 3-5 Years Of Experience In A Leadership Role, Preferably In A Progressive Care Unit Or Similar Setting.

  • Knowledge Of Progressive Care Unit Procedures And Protocols: Candidates Should Have A Strong Understanding Of The Policies And Procedures Related To Progressive Care, As Well As Experience With Patient Care And Treatment Plans In This Setting.

  • Strong Communication And Interpersonal Skills: As An Assistant Nurse Manager, This Individual Will Be Responsible For Overseeing A Team Of Nurses And Working Closely With Other Healthcare Professionals. Therefore, Strong Communication And Interpersonal Skills Are Essential For Success In This Role.
