Job Description

Cleveland Clinic is looking for an experienced and compassionate Ambulatory Surgical Unit Assistant to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing excellent patient care and assisting with various medical procedures in our ambulatory surgical unit. To be successful in this position, you must have excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills, as well as the ability to work both independently and in a team environment. You should be committed to providing quality patient care, and demonstrate a positive attitude at all times. Responsibilites:

  1. Assist physicians and nurses with various medical procedures in the ambulatory surgical unit.
  2. Provide excellent patient care, including assisting with pre- and post-operative care.
  3. Ensure the safety of patients and the cleanliness of the ambulatory surgical unit.
  4. Maintain patient records and ensure confidentiality.
  5. Monitor and report any changes in patients’ conditions.
  6. Assist with inventory control and supply management.
  7. Follow all safety protocols and regulations to ensure patient safety.
  8. Participate in quality improvement initiatives.
  9. Demonstrate a positive attitude and respect for patient confidentiality at all times.
  10. Develop and maintain effective working relationships with patients, caregivers, and other healthcare professionals.
