Job Description

The Cleveland Clinic is looking for a compassionate and organized Ambulatory Medical Assistant to join our team. In this role, you will provide administrative and clinical support to our Ambulatory Care Services Department at the Cleveland Clinic.The ideal candidate should be a certified medical assistant with a minimum of 2 years of experience in healthcare. You should be organized and detail-oriented, with a strong commitment to both patient care and customer service. The ability to multitask and work well with others is essential in this role.We are looking for a team-player who is passionate about providing the highest quality of patient care. Responsibilites:

  1. Provide administrative and clinical support to the Ambulatory Care Services Department.
  2. Assist patients in completing paperwork and other documents.
  3. Maintain patient confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA regulations.
  4. Ensure accuracy of patient information and records.
  5. Utilize electronic medical records systems to keep accurate records of patient visits.
  6. Prepare examination and treatment areas for patient visits.
  7. Take and record vital signs and medical histories.
  8. Assist physicians and nurses with patient examinations and treatments.
  9. Administer medications and injections as instructed.
  10. Schedule patient appointments and follow-up visits.
  11. Answer phones and respond to inquiries from patients and families.
  12. Respond promptly to patient requests and concerns.
  13. Assist with patient transportation needs.
  14. Monitor inventory of medical supplies and order additional supplies as needed.
  15. Clean and sterilize medical instruments.
  16. Ensure compliance with safety and infection control protocols.
