
Energy Engineer - Building Science Analyst
Calculate energy savings for projects in our programs using standard engineering principles using spreadsheet calculations, EQuest modeling or similar. Perform ASHRAE level II audits unassisted at commercial and industrial facilities; author IPMVP compliant measurement and verification plans and reports. Responsible for outreach and maintaining customer relations. Develop project scopes, with oversight from engineering/technical management. Manage important and complex technical work independently and with minimal technical supervision. Responsible for communication with the customer to obtain the information needed to complete calculations and reports. Oversee the development of calculations and measurement configurations within central database. Author work papers for new energy efficiency measures, with technical oversight. Oversee technical feedback related to utility commission documents, filings, and program evaluations; provide formal recommendations to program staff.
3-5 years energy engineering or HVAC experience and a Bachelor’s degree in building science, architecture, statistics
3-4+ years’ experience and a BS Engineering degree with a preference for experience in commissioning, retro-commissioning projects
Exercise in-depth knowledge, experience and independent judgment broadly across the energy efficiency industry
