
Assistant Pool Manager

- Assist the Pool Manager in overseeing the daily operations of community pools, including scheduling, training, and supervising lifeguards and other staff members.
- Ensure the safety and well-being of all patrons by enforcing pool rules and regulations and responding to any emergency situations.
- Maintain a clean and organized pool facility, including regular cleaning and maintenance of pool equipment, restrooms, and surrounding areas.
- Monitor pool chemical levels and maintain accurate records, ensuring that all safety standards and regulations are met.
- Provide excellent customer service to all patrons, addressing any concerns or issues and maintaining a positive and welcoming atmosphere.
- Assist in developing and implementing programs and activities to enhance the pool experience for patrons of all ages and abilities.
- Collaborate with other City departments and community organizations to promote and market pool programs and events.
- Conduct regular staff meetings and training sessions to ensure all staff members are knowledgeable and up-to-date on pool operations and safety procedures.
- Assist in managing pool finances, including budgeting, purchasing, and record-keeping.
- Act as a role model and leader for staff, exhibiting professionalism, teamwork, and a positive attitude at all times.
Lifeguard Certification: A Current And Valid Lifeguard Certification From A Recognized Organization, Such As The American Red Cross Or Ymca, Is Required For This Position. This Certification Ensures That The Assistant Pool Manager Is Trained In Water Safety And Rescue Techniques.
First Aid And Cpr Certification: In Addition To A Lifeguard Certification, The Assistant Pool Manager Should Also Possess A Current First Aid And Cpr Certification. This Enables Them To Provide Immediate Medical Assistance In Case Of An Emergency.
Previous Pool Management Experience: The City Of Stockton May Prefer Candidates With Previous Experience In Pool Management. This Could Include Experience As A Lifeguard, Swim Instructor, Or Assistant Pool Manager At A Public Or Private Pool.
Strong Communication Skills: As An Assistant Pool Manager, Effective Communication Skills Are Essential For Interacting With Staff, Pool Patrons, And City Officials.
