Job Description

The City of Seattle is seeking a Water System Operator to join our team and help ensure the safe and effective delivery of water to our citizens. This position requires a high level of expertise, sound judgment, and strong communication skills to monitor and maintain the City's water systems. The successful candidate must have excellent problem-solving and analytical abilities, and must be able to work both independently and collaboratively as part of a team. This is an excellent opportunity to develop and use your skills in a public service capacity.The ideal candidate must possess the following qualifications: a high school diploma or equivalent; a valid driver's license; and at least two years of experience in a related field. A Water Treatment Plant Operator's License is preferred but not required. Additionally, the successful candidate should have the ability to read and interpret technical manuals, and possess strong computer skills. The ability to lift 50 pounds, as well as the willingness to work nights, weekends, and holidays is also required.
