Job Description

We are looking for a highly motivated Senior Economist to join the City of Seattle team. We're looking for candidates who have a passion for creating economic opportunities and promoting equitable access to resources in the community. The ideal candidate has a strong background in economics, data analysis, and policy development, as well as the ability to effectively communicate their ideas to a variety of stakeholders.To be successful in this role, you must have a master’s degree in economics or a related field, at least five years of professional experience in economic analysis, and a comprehensive understanding of economic principles, theories, and practices. You must be an excellent communicator with strong problem-solving, organizational, and analytical skills. Additionally, you should be able to work independently and collaboratively to effectively complete projects on time and on budget. You must possess a deep understanding of the economic and social conditions of the City of Seattle and an ability to identify and respond to issues in a timely manner. If you have a passion for economic development and a commitment to social justice, this could be the perfect opportunity for you.
