The City of Seattle is seeking a highly qualified Senior Accountant-Senior Quality Assurance Analyst for our Federal Medicaid department. In this role, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the City's financial operations related to Medicaid are efficient, accurate, and compliant with federal regulations.   1. Oversee and conduct quality assurance reviews of all financial processes and transactions related to Medicaid for the City of Seattle.
  2. Ensure compliance with federal regulations and guidelines for Medicaid by staying up-to-date on changes and updates.
  3. Develop and implement quality control procedures to continuously improve the accuracy and efficiency of financial processes.
  4. Analyze financial data and identify any discrepancies or errors, taking corrective action as needed.
  5. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure accurate and timely reporting of financial data related to Medicaid.
  6. Train and mentor junior staff on accounting principles and Medicaid guidelines to maintain a high level of quality assurance.

  8. Communicate findings and recommendations to management and collaborate on solutions to address any issues.
  9. Prepare and maintain detailed documentation of quality assurance processes and procedures.
  10. Identify and implement best practices for financial management and quality assurance within the Medicaid department.
  11. Stay informed on industry updates and changes related to Medicaid and incorporate them into quality assurance processes.
  12. Represent the City of Seattle in meetings and discussions with federal agencies and other external stakeholders related to Medicaid financial operations.
  13. Maintain confidentiality and integrity of financial data and adhere to all ethical standards and guidelines.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Accounting, Finance, Or A Related Field.

  • At Least 5 Years Of Experience In Accounting Or Quality Assurance, Preferably In A Government Or Healthcare Setting.

  • Extensive Knowledge Of Federal Medicaid Regulations And Compliance Requirements.

  • Cpa Or Other Relevant Professional Certification.

  • Strong Analytical Skills With The Ability To Identify And Resolve Complex Problems.
