  1. Develop and implement security programs and policies to ensure the safety of the City of Seattle's residents, visitors, and employees.
  2. Conduct regular security assessments and audits to identify potential risks and vulnerabilities and recommend appropriate solutions.
  3. Collaborate with city departments, law enforcement agencies, and community partners to develop and maintain effective security protocols and procedures.
  4. Monitor and analyze security data to identify trends and make recommendations for improvements.
  5. Serve as a point of contact for security-related inquiries and concerns from employees and the public, providing timely and accurate responses.
  6. Plan and coordinate security training and awareness programs for city employees to promote a culture of safety and security.

  8. Maintain and update emergency response plans and procedures to ensure a rapid and effective response to security threats.
  9. Stay current on industry trends, best practices, and regulations related to security programs and make recommendations for updates and improvements.
  10. Represent the City of Seattle at security-related meetings, conferences, and events, providing expertise and insights on security matters.
  11. Collaborate with other security specialists and team members to share knowledge and coordinate efforts to enhance security measures.
  12. Maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion and professionalism.
  13. Uphold the high standards of the City of Seattle's safety and security policies and procedures at all times.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree In Criminal Justice, Security Management, Or A Related Field.

  • Minimum Of 3 Years Of Experience In Security Program Development And Implementation.

  • Strong Knowledge Of Local, State, And Federal Laws And Regulations Related To Security.

  • Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Work With Diverse Groups Of People.

  • Experience With Security Risk Assessments, Emergency Response Planning, And Incident Management Techniques.
